She came to us after having worked several years in the field of eating disorders and on a local college campus, where she developed a love for college students and their struggles, passionate about intervention she created prevention programs particular to the struggle of eating disorders and suicide prevention, presenting at the Alabama Counseling Association conference specifically on these topics. She has a deep interest in furthering suicide prevention education and has additional training in Brain Spotting.

Kendra’s gentle spirit and bold truth, bring a compassionate strength when walking alongside clients on their journey navigating the journey towards recovery. She strives to meet clients where they are and supports them in making the difficult changes to discover the fullest version of themselves.

She holds genuine hope for client who struggle to see a way out of the darkness that can consume them on the path of healing, “I believe that we are all worthy of happiness” and commit to believe this for each client until they can find the truth and believe it for themselves.

Kendra prides herself in her honesty and will always “tell it like it is” to encourage others to create the best version of themselves while adding a little sarcasm and humor to bring joy into a difficult situation.

Her perfect Saturday includes, grabbing a large latte and taking her dog to the dog park, then coming home and curling up with a good book, and maybe another coffee. Crafting and listening to podcasts make her happy. Extra cool stuff about Kendra includes skydiving once upon a time and then there was that night that she drove an ambulance to get someone to the hospital … yeah, that happened.

Everyone deserves to live a full life beyond the challenges the eating disorder often brings. In a world often full of hurt, I truly hope to be a spark spark of light to help others find their way through the darkness.
