Jenny Joseph Williamson has been a yoga instructor and NSCA certified personal trainer for over 20 years, during which time she worked for Health magazine, appeared in Shape magazine and became a top trainer at one of the country’s best and largest gyms. She has additional certifications in kettlebells, Pilates, TRX, VIPR, meditation/mindfulnees, and CPR/AED. Jenny is the owner and founder of Jenny Williamson Fitness.

She found her love for helping others heal through movement in New York City where she trained for 10 years. Jenny provides virtual sessions for clients all over the country. She brings her talents to many community venues including working as the Wellness Coach for Red Mountain Theatre in Birmingham. She has significant experience working with all ages and abilities, helping with injuries and rehabilitation, and training clients growing through recovery of mental illness and those who struggle with maintaining a healthy relationship to exercise.

She strives to be a reliable source for those seeking support and guidance and views her role in their health and wellness experience as a top priority. Because of this strong belief she works directly with other providers and professionals in the community to elevate the quality of training her clients receive. She believes in focus and discipline while leaving behind anything that doesn't allow healing and joy.

Jenny brings to ACED an invigorating energy and a deep empathy for clients because she also struggled with multiple eating disorders for several years. “I know from personal experience what it is like to try and build a healthy relationship with exercise while struggling with this disease,” Jenny says.

Jenny, her husband and young daughter moved to Birmingham after a decade in New York City, where she ran the city’s marathon as a guide to a 73-year-old blind man. Jenny was tethered to him the entire 26.2 miles.

There are no rules on how to recover. No one’s recovery is the same. I’m grateful to be a part of a team that works together to make sure each client’s recovery journey follows the right path for them.
