Meredith’s dreams are big, passionate, and involve art or play therapy – mostly likely both. She graduated from Judson College in Marion, AL with a degree in psychology and earned a Master's Degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

Meredith interned as a child therapist at Hillcrest Behavioral Health, where she worked with juvenile sex offenders and adolescent survivors of sexual abuse. She volunteered as an advocate at the Crisis Center and worked for eight years at Family Promise of Birmingham, a shelter for the homeless. She has been at ACED for more than 2 years now and says she's "lucky" to have the job.

Meredith brings to clients a sense of humor, acceptance, and a darn big heart, which is filled with love for her three dogs, Potato, Bagel and Pixie. She is a 311 super fan, having seen about 20 concerts in the last 8 years. Growing up on the coast of New Jersey, Meredith just can't shake the beach bug and one day hopes to return to the waves.

I became a therapist because I love listening to the stories people have to tell. At the heart of our humanness I believe we all share a common bond in the truth of our struggles and the beauty of our healing.
