Leslie Black, RN

Program Nurse

<----back to bios

Leslie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Retailing from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samford University. She also earned a Degree in Theology by Extension from Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.

Leslie is an Assessment Specialist in Healthcare at the Bradford Health Services Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center. Previously, she was Clinical Nurse Advisor at Sober Living by the Sea/Victorian House Eating Disorder Treatment Center in Newport Beach, California.

Leslie brings a unique perspective to ACED. Leslie faces eating disorders both as a treatment nurse and as a mother. Her child struggled with an eating disorder but is now recovered. From this experience, Leslie brings to the center sensitivity toward the loved ones of our clients, as well as a wealth of professional knowledge.

Leslie strikes a balance between hard work and pleasure. After devoting a week to helping others find recovery, she’d ideally sleep late, make pancakes, and go for a mani/pedi and a massage. She also captures the joy of life by singing aloud and dancing when she eats.
