Suzanne Graham, RYT
Yoga Instructor
<----back to biosSuzanne is a 200-hour Kripalu Registered Yoga Teacher and a Level-Two Thai Yoga Practitioner. She left her native Colorado to pursue art studies in the South. Suzanne attended the Memphis Academy of Art and earned bachelor’s degrees from Belhaven College in Jackson, Miss. and the Mississippi University for Women.
Suzanne was a successful wine-seller for 18 years but, two years ago, left the corporate world to pursue a “living that brought me rewards (not financially) at the end of the day.” Teaching yoga achieved that.
“My mission is to offer compassionate, heart-centered, comprehensive yoga instruction in a safe and nurturing environment that inspires personal growth and transformation,” Suzanne says.
She has the rare gratitude gained from overcoming illness. Suzanne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 16 years ago and saw the news as a “wake-up call.” She has been in remission for several years, following a combined treatment of Western and Eastern medicine, self-determination and moral support.
“I live with a chronic disease daily, but I do not let it consume my life,” she says.
Suzanne admits to a slight touch of OCD. She likes things clean and in order, and never loses her car keys. But she can be lazy without an ounce of guilt. Her perfect Saturday is sunshine, a walk with the dog and friends, gardening and reading.
